A distinguished lecturer in some aspect of the field of design is brought to Houston
to lecture. The firm Mansilla + Tuñón Arquitectos opened  in 1992, and since has
won several of Spain's most prestigious architectural competitions.

Visual Acoustics:
The Modernism of Julius Shulman

This award winning documentary film on Julius Shulman,
one of the most prolific architectural photographers of the modern era.

Filled with interviews with Shulman's colleagues, clients and contemporaries
and  well as the master himself, this film brings to life the iconic images of his career.  

Shulman, who passed away in 2009, worked with nearly every modern architect,
including Frank Lloyd Wright, Richard Neutra, John Lautner and Frank Gehry.  
Here in Houston, he photographed several notable architects' work.

Tickets are $7 for general admission; $6 for MFAH members, students with ID,
